Want to Coach at St. Pete Strength Club?

We’re building a strong community—one coach at a time.

Whether you’re a seasoned coach or someone with a passion for lifting who wants to start coaching the right way, you’re in the right place. At St. Pete Strength Club, we don’t just lead workouts—we teach people how to train, get stronger, and feel good in their bodies for life.

We’re always looking for thoughtful, curious, and committed individuals to join our coaching team—either through direct hiring or our Apprenticeship Program.

Our Coaching Values

We believe great coaches:

  • Lead with empathy and clarity

  • Train consistently themselves

  • Never stop learning

  • Know how to make the gym feel welcoming—not intimidating

  • Coach movement, not just motivation

Current Opportunities

🏋️‍♀️ Part-Time Coach

We are hiring part-time coaches to lead our small-group Strength Club sessions. These are not mic’d-up hype sessions or huge group circuits—our coaching is personal, educational, and rooted in strength.

All new coaches go through a paid onboarding process, which includes:

  • Attending Strength Club classes

  • Shadowing experienced coaches

  • Learning our systems, language, and member experience expectations

Requirements:

  • Certified personal trainer (or in progress)

  • CPR certified (or willing to get certified before start date)

  • Insured as a fitness professional

  • Some experience in training, educating, and/or coaching in a gym setting

If you're already a certified coach and think you're a fit for the Club, we'd love to hear from you.

🔧 Apprenticeship Program

Not quite ready to coach yet—but know you want to? Our Strength Club Apprenticeship is a blend of hands-on coaching, real-time feedback, and structured learning.

This is a mentorship-based experience designed to help you build your coaching foundation the right way.

The apprenticeship includes:

  • In-Person Meetings Per Week

  • Participation in Strength Club training

  • Practice coaching and observing sessions

  • Education on programming, communication, sales, marketing, and gym culture

Those who complete the apprenticeship are given preferred consideration for future coaching positions.

Whether you’re completing mentorship credit for school, shifting careers, or finally pursuing that “I think I want to coach” voice in your head, this is where to start.
